Luckiest Man On Earth!!!!!!

So Wednesday was my bday and I turned the big 30!!!!! The day was planned pretty much, blackhawk in the morning with J and Bo then Dinner with Daria at Maggiano's....or so I thought.....

Daria and I went to Maggiano's for dinner and we had a wonderful time. During dinner though she was texting quite a bit and said that it was Liz (her roomie) and I just left it at that. Dinner was fantastic, the food was great, company was even better and I had my first glass of scotch ever!!!! After dinner Daria went to the bathroom, I had already gone and been out for 5 minutes and was worrying about her so I called, she hung up after two rings and came out shortly after that, she said that she wasn't feeling well and just got done throwing up. We started leaving and I was expecting to be taking care of her and making sure she was all right for the rest of the night, little did I know what lay ahead.

We got back to home and Matt was on the couch playing 360, and I noticed an HDTV box by the doorway to the kitchen, I was trying not to focus on it and was talking to Matt when I heard the surprise cheer and looked up to see Bo, Erich, Liz, Grant, Matt and Daria holding my cherry chip cake (that my mom used to make for me) with 30 candles on it!!!! I was totally surprised, it was AWESOME!!!!! I made my wish and blew out the candles and there were some cards for me. I opened them up and kept looking at the TV box thinking there's no way they bought me an HDTV!!!! After the cards and cake, Bo made a speech talking about how everyone knew I wanted a TV and how if they all contributed together they'd be able to get me one. After that he lifted the box up to reveal a 32" HDTV box below, at that point I realized the first box was bo's and the 2nd box was Grant's tv. I opened up Grant's tv box and there wasn't a tv inside there was a 2- pack of coors light with 4 bottles in there and 8 envelopes. I opened up each one to find there was $100 in each for a total of $800!!!!!! Needless to say I was in complete and total shock, I couldn't believe that my friends did this for me. I didn't know what to say to them except thank you and that I was in total shock and disbelief.

With the $800 combined with some funds of my own I will be going tomorrow to Sam's Club and purchasing the TV that is pictured above :-) WOO HOO!!!! Thank you sooooooooooo much to all my friends, my parents and to my beautiful girlfriend for making this the best birthday ever!!!! I don't know if I can ever thank you enough for what you did for me, This is something that I'm forever grateful for and will never forget!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

End Of A Decade

Today is the last day of my twenties, I've been thinking a lot lately about this number, to some it's a big milestone that finally means that they are an adult, to others they fear it because they're another year older and no longer in their twenties. I originally was fearful of this number but then I realized that's all it is, just a number, it doesn't make me feel older, it doesn't make me seem like more of an adult, it doesn't make me seem like a dirty old man since I'm robbing the cradle, dating a woman in her twenties ;-) It's just a number.

Life is going GREAT for me right now and I'm enjoying every single second of it, I do feel a bit older but that's because I let myself go a bit, but I'm getting back into shape, I still feel youthful and full of energy and spunk, I am going to embrace being 30 and all that comes with it. I look forward to what this decade will bring :-)

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited for this week!!! I'm taking the day off tomorrow and going up to BlackHawk with Bo and Jason for some early morning poker action. Then I'm going to Maggiano's with the best girlfriend in the history of everything!!!! :-)
I get to spend Valentine's Day night with Daria to which there will be a few surprises for her :-)
Then Friday night we're going to the Mammoth game with a whole group of my friends and Dan's friends for our mutual birthday celebration!!! It's gonna be GREAT!!!!!!
